The next great step in the history of plastic surgery is from the late eighteenth century when an Indian commoner repaired the nose of a British man who had been taken prisoner and punished with mutilation.

As plastic surgery becomes increasingly popular the procedures offered have increased by a considerable amount. The techniques were brought back to Europe where they gathered interest and were studied and improved upon with the more modern medical equipment in use at the time. There are cosmetic and reconstructive surgical options for most parts of the body and some procedures that fall under this category have become so common and accepted that there is no longer any stigma attached to seeking or undergoing aesthetic surgical procedure. In ancient Rome there are accounts of a "breast reduction" performed on an obese nobleman for purely cosmetic reasons. Silicone had been used by doctors to add size to legs that had been withered by Polio.C, writings show that techniques were used to repair the facial features of people who had been mutilated by injury or in some cases as a punishment for wrongdoing. Silicone breast implants were developed for reconstructive surgery for breast cancer patients after showgirls had started injecting themselves with silicone to improve breast size. While some believe that it is quite a modern phenomena to seek medical solutions for aesthetic or cosmetic reasons the amount that it has been used around the world for many years shows it is far from a new thing. The practice grew more common with reconstructive surgeries being given due to injury and as is such with many disciplines some of the greatest innovations were made during times of war. Reconstructive surgery became more necessary as advances in medical practice meant that many wounds and injuries were now much more wholesale Baby Bathtub Mould survivable than at previous times.

Plastic surgery for aesthetic reasons enters the modern era in 1891 when an American surgeon removes a prominent nasal lump in a female patient with nose surgery (rhinoplasty) being the most common form of surgery for the period leading up until post World War II further advances in reconstructive surgery used during that war would become common in plastic surgery after. Other accounts from that time include those of procedures to remove scars from the back, these scars were considered a mark of dishonor as they were often caused by punishment, or, turning ones back during battle. . Particularly during World War I when many of techniques were Plastic medical mould pioneered in the reconstruction of facial injuries that became more common with that war. The earliest record of reconstructive surgery comes from India in 600 B
