DBS however cautioned that the recent improvements

Valuations of Indian bank USD bonds remain relatively expensive and do not offer much upside from current levels. Overall, most banks showed a reduction in gross non-performing loans (NPLs) and lower formation of new NPLs.

Singapore: Notwithstanding the positive signs in the Indian banking sector, fundamentals still remain a long way from returning to "healthy level", a DBS report said on Friday.According to the global financial services major, the recent second quarter earnings of Indian banks showed some positive signs with a slight improvement in asset quality. Overall, most banks showed a reduction in gross non-performing loans (NPLs) and lower formation of new NPLs.Some banks also expect further improvement in asset quality in the coming quarters, noted the report. Lower credit costs also helped the bottom line of the banks, as the countries two leading lenders -- State Bank of India and ICICI Bank -- returned to profit in the September quarter after reporting losses in the prior quarter."

Gross NPL ratio of our sample remains above 10 per cent while capitalisation remains just about adequate (Tier I ratio of 9-10 per cent)," DBS said in a research note adding, the government is expected to maintain capital levels of banks through periodic equity injection. The report further noted that asset quality issues are unlikely to be resolved without "exceptional measures", and hence will remain a long-term issue.

DBS however cautioned that the recent improvements seen could slow down as recoveries from ongoing bankruptcy resolutions get more challenging once the better quality assets are sold.Valuations of Indian bank USD bonds remain relatively expensive and do not offer much upside from current levels. Hence, the bonds have not reacted to the second quarter results unlike equities of the banks which have seen a rally."That said, bond valuations are driven by government ownership and supported by the strong technicals (absence of new bond supply). At best, Indian bank bonds are suitable for buy and hold investors for coupon carry,” the report said.

The gas is compressed and stored in cylinders

The hospital generates 150 kg of waste every day. The time investment is not more than five minutes a day and it can take upto 2 kg waste per day,” he explains. So, we decided to make it in a way that anybody can accommodate. In the city, people from Thane, Mulund, Bandra, Santa Cruz, Dadar, Shiaji Park to Worli are cooking on the gas generated by Dedko. I started composting but that got smelly and messy really quickly.

It was a big plant, 6 feet in diameter and 6 feet in height,” recalls Udeshi.Taking the noble idea ahead, he has developed E-Dedko, which he says can be put together even by a child.bhlfoodmachine. We have people calling us nationally and internationally asking for this machine. I brought the parts and put them together. Since then, the machine has been running well in my house.Today, he supplies the plant from Gujarat to Goa. Almost 30-40 per cent of cooking in Udeshi’s home is done on the biogas generated by Dedko. We will launch in a month or so. That worked and there was no smell. “It is a DIY kit.com/product/small-equipment/">automatic liquid soft packaging machines Suppliers</a> built a biogas plant at home in 2012. He began reading more about generating organic fuel and soon Udeshi had his plan ready to make the second attempt.

With the help of the institute, he <a href="https://www. I decided something has to be done as it is causing a lot of environmental damage,” says Udeshi who started his research trying to find best means of sustainable living. It has big crushes, is completely automated and has control panels.“There is a jar that is filled with organic waste. We also have a lot of trainer videos with it,” he adds. The 40-year-old started composting at home but didn’t succeed. At the same time, the machine also produces organic fertiliser. They use the gas to cook from 5 am to 2 pm every day,” he smiles. It takes about 30 seconds just to turn it.

The gas generated is stored in a balloon like structure from where it is used for cooking.“I started reading up on bio-technology, understood better what needs to be done, what bacteria is sensitive to, how to organise the structure well so it performs better,” he lists, adding, “I made a whole new design and shrunk it to the size of a washing machine and in this machine, temperature could be controlled.

The gas is compressed and stored in cylinders. Then I searched for other options like anaerobic digester — biogas,” he shares. Costing `25,000 per plant, now it takes about 10-15 days to built 10 plants.Just how we have toilets on the roads, Udeshi hopes in the times to come there will be waste converting machine everywhere.Udeshi’s search landed him at Appropriate Rural Technology Institute (ARTI) in Pune.An engineer with a PhD from the University of Michigan, he initially manufactured industrial combustion equipment making him realise the hazardous affect of chemical fertilizers. They say charity begins at home and that’s what happened here as well. After that, it becomes like a paste and you put it in the machine.

They even sent me parts that I couldn’t find.Besides homes, a larger version of Dedko, called Rhino, has been installed at the Holy Family Hospital & Medical Research Center in Bandra.

It will be as common as that,” he concludes.”Soon, the word spread and he had people asking him to make one for them, urging him to manufacture the machine on a larger scale.  “I saw a dumpster with garbage over flowing and it felt wrong. Called Dedko –meaning frog in Gujarati, it took Udeshi about two months to build his first plant. Once it is full, we add a little water and just turn it so the waste gets crushed.Dedko in use at homeHowever, the machine brought its own challenges. They kept logic away from Activities and Fragments

The 2018 version of the source code constitutes an all-inclusive rewrite of the app. , Google rewrote the app using Architecture Components. Google has just released the source code for the official Google I/O 2018 for Android app.The 2018 version constitutes an all-inclusive rewrite of the app. For many years, the app has used a ContentProvider + SyncAdapter architecture. This year, Google rewrote the app using Architecture Components and brought the code in sync with the Android team&compound film filling machines Manufacturers外部リンク39;s current recommendations for building modern apps.ArchitectureGoogle has followed the recommendations laid out in the Guide to App Architecture for writing modular, testable and maintainable code when deciding on the architecture for the app.

They kept logic away from Activities and Fragments and moved it to ViewModels. Google also observed data using LiveData and used the Data Binding Library to bind UI components in layouts to the app's data sources.Google has used a Repository layer for handling data operations. IOSched's data comes from a few different sources — user data is stored in Cloud Firestore (either remotely or in a local cache for offline use), user preferences and settings are stored in SharedPreferences, conference data is stored remotely and is fetched and stored in memory for the app to use — and the repository modules are responsible for handling all data operations and abstracting # the data sources from the rest of the app. If Google ever wanted to swap out the Firestore backend for a different data source in the future, their architecture allows us to do so in a clean way.Google implemented a lightweight domain layer, which sits between the data layer and the presentation layer, and handles discrete pieces of business logic off the UI thread.Google also used Dagger2 for dependency injection and we heavily relied on dagger-android to abstract away boilerplate code.Google has used Espresso for basic instrumentation tests and JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.FirebaseThe use of Firebase technologies has grown in the app as the Firebase platform has matured. The 2018 version uses the following Firebase components:Cloud Firestore is Google’s source for all user data (events starred or reserved by a user). Firestore gave Google automatic sync and also seamlessly managed offline functionality for them.Firebase Cloud Functions allowed Google to run backend code. The reservations feature heavily depended on Functions checking a user's status (only attendees were allowed to make reservations), checking space availability and persisting reservation status in Firestore.Firebase Cloud Messaging let Google inform the app about changes to conference data on their server. Conference data is mostly static, but it does change from time to time, especially after the keynote.

The app has traditionally used a ping-and-fetch model when working with conference data, and Google retained that usage this year.Remote Config helped Google manage in-app constants. In previous years, Google had found themselves unable to inform users when data not directly related to the conference schedule — WiFi information, conference shuttle schedule, etc. — changed unexpectedly. Remote Config helped Google update such values in a lightweight manner.KotlinGoogle made an early decision to rewrite the app from scratch to bring it in line with modern Android architecture.

Using Kotlin for the rewrite was an easy choice: Google says they loved Kotlin's expressive, concise, and powerful syntax; and found that Kotlin's support for safety features including nullability and immutability made their code more resilient; and also leveraged the enhanced functionality provided by Android Ktx extensions.Material DesignAt I/O 2018, the Material Design team announced Material Theming, giving apps much greater ability to customize Material Design to bring more of their product& ;s brand.

As Google launched the app before Material Theming, they couldn't use all of the new components but has managed to sneak a couple in like the new Bottom App Bar with inset Floating Action Button and were able to incorporate a lot of the conference's branding elements.Future plansThe rewrite of the app brings the code in sync with Android's opinionated recommendations about building apps, and it resulted in a cleaner, more maintainable codebase. Google will continue working on the app, incorporating JetPack components as they become available and finding opportunities to showcase platform features that are good fits for the app. Developers can follow changes to the code on GitHub.(Source)

Though some were unwilling to adopt any intervention

Though some were unwilling to adopt any intervention even if it meant gaining an additional year or five. Representational Image. (Photo: Pexels) Washington: According to a recent study, people would rather pop a pill or sip tea than exercise to treat high blood pressure.Researchers wanted to find out how people weigh the benefits of high blood pressure treatment options against its inconvenience. They asked survey respondents to imagine that they had high blood pressure and then asked about their willingness to adopt any of four "treatments" to gain an extra month, year or five years of life.

In this survey, the "treatments" proposed were: a daily cup of tea, exercise, pills or monthly or semi-annual injections. Results showed that taking a pill China compound film filling machines Suppliers外部リンク or drinking a daily cup of tea was the preferred treatments, though some were unwilling to adopt any intervention even if it meant gaining an additional year or five years of life.

For each treatment, participants were more likely to say they would adopt it if the benefit were greater:* 79 percent of respondents said they would be willing to take a pill for an extra month of life, 90 percent would for an extra year of life and 96 percent would for an extra five years of life;* 78 percent said they would drink a daily cup of tea for one extra month of life, 91 percent would for one extra year of life and 96 percent would drink it for an extra five years of life;* 63 percent would be willing to exercise for an extra month of life, 84 percent would for an extra year of life and 93 percent would exercise if it meant an extra five years of life;*

A shot was the least preferred of the options - 68 percent would take a shot every six months if it would give them an extra month of life, 85 percent would do it for an extra year of life and 93 percent would be willing if it gave them another five years, but only about half (51 percent) would take a monthly shot for an extra month of life, 74 percent would for an extra year and 88 percent would opt for an injection every month if it gave them five extra years of life.In addition, at least 20 percent of respondents wanted to achieve gains in life expectancy beyond what any of the individual interventions could provide.

Our findings demonstrate that people naturally assign different weights to the pluses and minuses of interventions to improve cardiovascular health," said Erica Spatz, the study lead author and an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT.The preliminary research was presented at the American Heart Association's Quality of Care and Outcomes Research Scientific Sessions 2018.

Milk and dairy products are no exception

Oxytocin is one such injection that not only affects the cattle but indirectly the humans in the form of dairy products we consume. Cattle are fed with many steroids and hormonal injections to boost the delivery of milk production. (Photo: AFP) Milk is known for its numerous health benefits in people of all age groups ranging from children to old people. But lately the problem of adulteration of food products has multiplied to alarming extents thus posing serious health issues.

Milk and dairy products are no exception. Cattle are fed with many steroids and hormonal injections to boost the delivery of milk production."Oxytocin is one such injection that not only affects the cattle but indirectly the humans in the form of dairy products we consume. The injected oxytocin reaches the human body through consumption of milk or any other dairy product causing several side effects on all. This is one of the reasons for early onset of puberty among girls, development of breast in male and lack of testosterone production due to hormonal imbalance. Milk adulterated with oxytocin should be avoided by pregnant women as it may lead to abortion and babies may be born with deformities. It increases the risk of haemorrhage in mothers after birth and can also inhibit breastfeeding", automatic liquid soft packaging machines Manufacturers外部リンク said Dr. Arvind Vaid, Chief Infertility and IVF Specialist, Indira IVF Hospital, New Delhi. It is a general thought among us that milk is a rich source of calcium, but we tend to overlook the other components.

Hormones like prolactin, lutenizing hormone(LH), estrogens, progesterone, oxytocin, growth hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone are present in the milk which may cause hormonal imbalance leading to infertility in humans as well.It can adversely affect the production of cervical mucus, which in limited quantity helps the sperm reach the fallopian tube and protects the vaginal lining from acidic environment. If the cervical mucus turns hostile it can act like a barrier in the fallopian tube preventing women from conceiving. Most of the people are either intolerant to lactose (sugar found in milk) or allergic to casein (protein in milk) which often goes unnoticed. The most common symptom starts off with fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, and repeated exposure to such allergies sets off a whole body immune response that halts down the fertility by causing improper ovulation, missing periods, degrading the egg quality and recurrent miscarriage."Certain amount of estrogen in male is required especially in the elderly age, but normally excess of estrogen in the male body leads to disruption of re-absorption of the luminal fluids in the epididymis leading to infertility. Consumption of more than the limit estrogen through diet leads to significant reduction in the epididymal weight causing decreased sperm motility and concentration", added Dr. Ishita Lunkad, Pune based gynaecologist.

Moreover it is also noted that 70 percent of the Indian population get packed milk (especially in plastics). Plastic contains BPA (endocrine disruptor), which is directly linked to cause fertility issues in both male and female. It is one of the reasons in female that causes high levels of FSH, low levels of AMH, problems in implantation, PCOS and depleted ovarian reserve. Thus it is important to understand how adulterated milk can cause serious health issues in both males and females. Boiling milk can help eliminate traces of oxytocin. Thus a little vigilance can help save us from a number of health and fertility issues.
