Over the years Melrose has had time to mature. The tree lined street have become more beautiful and nearly all of the foreclosure properties have since faded away. This gave Melrose a more open and appealing look instead of rows and rows of houses barricaded in by high fences. In addition there were a few vacant lots sold to custom home builders.
