Who can forget the uproar when the American public

  Up and until very recently I was someone who would read just about everything I could find on health. If you were fat like me and then lost the weight, became fitter then you too might become fixated about your health and with staying fit and healthy.Reading articles on health helps me to keep up with the latest news in exercise, diet, supplements, and other aspects of longevity.

You see, I read so many articles on health I started to see the contradictions about what as good for you and what was bad, and they kept changing the rules. You never know what to believe a prime example was that about the benefits of soy which was heavily promoted one day then ridiculed the next for being responsible for food allergies, amongst others. They just don't realise that most of us just want to stay fit, healthy and live as long as possible and to do this we need their help, not hindrance.Who and what are you supposed to believe when all you want to do is find a good healthy lifestyle.

Who can forget the uproar when the American public was told that three of their favorites, chocolate, coffee and alcohol were all bad for you. The experts that told us not so long ago that these things were bad for us are now saying the complete opposite, for instance red wine is good for the heart and dark chocolate can be good for stress, dark beer or Guinness is also as is coffee but all, I hasten to add in moderation. Tomorrow, they will be saying that ice cream and cheesecake are the best options for creating a low cholesterol diet!

For me, I've had it with all the advice these magazines and their so called health specialists say, so as far as I'm concerned, I will take full responsibility for my health in future. Of course it won't stop me reading articles on health but in future I will decide how much of it I take notice of. At the very best, articles on health can give me some health tips that will help me figure out how to exercise, and how to eat right, but the rest is just me listening to my body. Surely I am no different from anyone else in wanting an active life, but I just do not want the constant infringement on my personal freedom that I've had over many years from these so called experts.
