When I read I like multiple angles of the story to make my own mind about the topic and that's why I read Spanish newspapers. Narcotics for instance is a big issue and normally I learn about problems in state’s like Arizona or New Mexico. Although the paper is in another language you can always use google's free tool, translate, to read any piece of information in English.The information that you read might not be the whole story that why it is wise to read international news. One of the reasons that I enjoy reading Spanish news is that it has a different spin than the regular news I watch..My favorite part of the Spanish paper tends to be the art gallery section because English news doesn't pick that up.

Although, this year I was ready and willing to travel with them, I read in the Spanish shinehe news that spring breakers were ripping havoc in the area creating conflicts and it dettered me quite a bit from traveling, needless to say I didn't go again! In this example my friends went outside the beach limits took public transportation and taxis and visited nearby towns. Take for instance bands like Mana, Juanes, or Camilla they are new artists that opened that part of music to me.

Pitbull and Shakira are cool but its very refreshing to hear them sing in spanish and as a writer it gives me some edge over other writers when I get to talk about that genre and I really enjoy talking about the news that normally gets filtered out and gives you a new perspective on whatever the media is running. My friends speak a little bit of spanish and when we get together we try to practice it with our own copies of the paper. However, when I want to know how the Spanish Disposable Endoscopy newspapers are delivering the news I turn to them. It made me wonder what kind of other news I was missing if Art Galleries weren’t being discussed. This year my friends decided to travel for spring break and in the past I've always been hesitant of traveling with them because they spend a lot of money and I don't.

Listening to English style music like top 40 or electric is pretty awesome but I discovered Spanish rock and it totally changed my perception of my music. They had all inclusive stay but they wanted more of an adventure apart from the scuba diving and whale watching, oh how boring for them, but they felt protected by local police. Because I travel quite a bit south in areas like Mexico, Columbia, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia news is important. Reading from articles in Spanish I get a ton of bilingual information which is cool because that way when I don't really understand the context I can see both the English and Spanish version.
