(1) The construction sequence and initial and torsional moments of hexagonal flange bolt connection pairs shall conform to the design requirements and regulations of JGJ82, which is the current industry standard for design, construction and acceptance of large hexagonal bolt connections.

(2) After finally tightening a pair of Hexagon Flange Bolt, the bolt threads shall be exposed by 2-3 retaining rings, of which 10% of the bolt threads shall be exposed by 1 retaining ring or 4 retaining rings. Number of inspections: 5% of the number of nodes, not less than 10.

(3) The friction surface of hexagonal flange bolt connection shall be kept dry and clean. There shall be no flash, burr, welding spatter, welding scar, iron oxide scale, dirt, etc. In addition to the design requirements, paint shall not be applied.

(4) Hexagonal flange bolts shall be able to freely penetrate through bolt holes. High strength bolt holes should not be reamed by gas cutting. The number of reaming shall be approved by the design. The hole diameter after reaming shall not exceed 1.2D(d is the bolt diameter).

(5) After the hexagonal flange bolt spherical joint is assembled, the high-strength bolt and the spherical joint shall be closely connected. The thread length of the high-strength bolt screwed into the bolt ball should not be less than 1.0d(d is the diameter of the bolt), and there should be no clearance or looseness at the joint.
