A local apparel enterprise called ‘Kats Collection,’ informed to be a collection of wedding gowns, has reopened on Jan. 6 next to the Toyota showroom in Dimapur.

Miss Nagaland of 2017 Marina Kiho was the chief guest of the day, a press release from the organisers informed on Thur. She inaugurated the store. Miss Dimapur of 2015 Zehovire Avi Kechu was the host for the event. She gave a brief outline about the collection. The enterprise is run by two siblings Visituonuo Rio and Kenny Rio along with their mother Kezhaleii Sekhose, the updates informed.

Pastor N Paphino ‘who has already conducted over 100 weddings all over Nagaland,’ according to the press release, exhorted the gathering and encouraged the youths to ‘only get holy marriages.’ Holy Matrimony is respectable not only to the world but in the sight of God, the updates said.

Delivering the keynote, Marina Kiho, Miss Nagaland for 2017, gave a short speech. She reminisced events from five years ago when there was hardly any young Naga entrepreneur. ‘But with the advancement of technology and social media, many young Naga entrepreneurs came into being,’ the press release stated.

Also, Kiho talked about using social media to leverage business. She took the example of Kats Collection which was stated to have started online in the year 2011 via the social networking site Facebook. In order to start a business, she said, one should not focus only on earning but render good services ‘to make lives easier,’ the updates stated. She encouraged the youths not to give up on their dreams even though they ‘may lose or win.’
