WEDDING INVITATIONS
weddings×54

Traditionally, the wedding announcement was sent to all friends, family and acquaintances, all of whom were not necessarily invited to the actual wedding ceremony. In the past, the parents of the bride would send out announcements the day after their daughter was married in order to let all of their friends know that she had changed her name, etc.
Formerly, the wedding announcement was sent out after the wedding, where the wedding invitation was sent out prior to the wedding only to individuals who were invited to the ceremony.
However, a more cost-effective and inclusive use of the wedding announcement has developed in recent years. Now, a bride and groom can prepare a list of several hundred (and even into the thousands) friends, family and casual acquaintances. The wedding announcement goes out to the entire list, usually inviting them to an open-house style of reception.

Here’s the cost saving part…the printer then makes “insert cards” that are intended only for certain guests on the mailing list. An insert card may be used to invite specific guests to the ceremony or the wedding breakfast. When all of the announcements are stuffed in the envelopes, you can go through and only place insert cards into the ones that you want to have at the ceremony or other exclusive event.
You can also use insert cards to notify your guests of where they can find your bridal registry to make it easier for them to shop for your wedding gift (or send a wedding gift if they are unable to attend). Using the insert card for the gift registry also keeps that information off of the announcement/invitation itself so that it doesn’t distract from the other information.
A wedding invitation was what you send to invite potential guests to your wedding. A printed wedding announcement was intended to only announce the event has happened. It used to be that there was no obligation to send a wedding gift after having received a wedding announcement. However, with this new combination announcement and invitation, there is a higher expectation to send a gift when only the announcement is received.
Most modern printing companies use the terms announcement and invitation interchangeably as a direct result of more and more brides combining the two in order to save money. Another item that is commonly confused with the wedding announcement, is the “save-the-date”. Save-The-Date cards are more common with long engagements (6 months or more). Traditionally, people would send out a save-the-date card well in advance of the wedding to those guests that they wanted to have at the wedding. Then as the wedding draws closer, they would send out a formal invitation to only those guests invited to the ceremony and dinner. Then the day after the wedding, they would send out a wedding announcement to notify all friends, family and acquaintances.
If you do not have a long engagement, you now only have to do one mailing that encompasses all three of these mailings. Sent out early enough, it serves as a save-the-date, it serves as the announcement, and with the insert cards, it also serves as the invitation.

Beauty Gonzalez
weddings×54

Even if you're not quick to tears, best prepare a handkerchief before you watch this video of Beauty Gonzalez swapping heartfelt vows with Norman Crisologo during their wedding earlier this month.
The clip by Jason Magbanua is a tearjerker (even John Lloyd Cruz, who was in the video, was left with something in his eye) as it shows the actress and her husband promising to make each other feel loved for the rest of their lives together.
"In a time of fast-paced love affairs and cynical romances, you have made me believe that true love still exists in this world," the "Pusong Ligaw" star told Crisologo, before adding: "You will never be alone."

Crisologo, who is 15 years older than Gonzalez, similarly assured his wife: "I've heard you ask me a million times, 'Who will take care you when you get old?'"
"I really don't know the answer to that question and I've been thinking about it for so long. But if we spread enough love to our friends and family, then they will be there for you."
He continues: "I also have a lot of kids and they are going to have a lot of kids and there's young to be a lot of grandkids going to you. ...You will never be alone."
Gonzalez and Crisologo, who met through Ellen Adarna, have been a couple since 2014.
They already have a daughter, Olivia Ines.

Wedding Story
weddings×54

We managed to trace Mum, and found her unconscious in a local Molo Health Centre and had to transfer her to a hospital with an ICU or HDU amidst the doctors' strike; it was such a hustle but we got room at Nakuru War Memorial, after calling almost all functioning private hospitals in Nairobi. She survived with hip and leg fractures and multiple fractures on her skull, but has been responding well to treatment so far (4 months now). We have been travelling every week to Nakuru to take care of her - in shifts between weekdays and weekends.
So we had to postpone the wedding, since she was the only parent to my fiancé after his dad was murdered in 2010. The fruit cake was ready, but had to be sold, the cards were all ready and we still have them in the groom’s house, most of the wedding details were already set, but had to be removed. We had to wait for Mum to regain consciousness and attend the wedding. She is up now, her memory is not fully back, but she remembers a few things

All the money we had, we've spent it on her bills. She has undergone multiple surgeries, about 7 of them, and it would take ksh.3 million to discharge her and proceed with the wedding. It’s been a rough journey and now 3 million stands between us and the wedding. Let me not think of a honeymoon, since we have spent the money we had to settle some of the bills.
I was engaged in December 2016 to be married on 4 March 2017.
We started preparing for the wedding and signing agreements with service providers, even making deposit payments, and all that pertains to wedding preparations. Then on 30 January 2017, my mother in-law was involved in a grisly road accident while travelling to Western Kenya for a short visit. We all reside in Nairobi, but then we didn't know of the accident until 2 February, since she went mteja and we presumed the network in the village was the main issue, as always.

Jessica Ennis-Hill took to Instagram to share a very sweet tribute to her husband Andy Hill on Thursday, as the couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. Jessica uploaded a collage of snapshots taken on their big day, showing the newlyweds together at the altar, and laughing together at their wedding reception. Alongside the photographs, she wrote: "4 years today I married the love of my life. It was such an amazing day and I couldn't wish for a better husband and daddy to our children." Fans were quick to congratulate the couple, with one writing: "Oh my gosh I just cried! So beautiful! Happy anniversary."

Jessica and Andy – her childhood sweetheart – tied the knot in May 2013 at St Michael and All Angels church in Hathersage, Derbyshire, near to where they both grew up. The bride looked beautiful in a romantic ivory Monique Lhuillier gown with an all-encompassing ruffled skirt and floor-length veil, and she carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses. The couple first met while attending the King Ecbert School in Sheffield, and got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2010 after eight years together.

"He was saying all these lovely things," Jessica exclusively told HELLO! following Andy's proposal, which took place at the couple's Sheffield home. "I thought, 'It really sounds like he's going to propose, but he can't be.' Then he got the ring out of his pocket. It was an amazing feeling.” Andy added: "You had a little tear in your eye. We've always talked about it and it just felt like the time was right. Christmas is quite special for me and Jess."
In March this year, Jessica announced the happy news that she and Andy are expecting their second baby. The 31-year-old, who welcomed son Reggie in July 2014, shared a photo of her little boy reading a book titled 'I'm going to be a big brother!' "Another little Ennis-Hill on the way," she confirmed. "So happy."

Kim Kardashian’s assistant Stephanie Shepherd dished to Refinery29 on what it’s like to work for the A-lister, from putting together North’s first stroller to working Kimye’s glamorous Italian wedding.
Shepherd, who has been working for Kardashian since 2013 and was recently promoted to COO of Kardashian West Brands, opened up about her job interview with the 36-year-old reality star. "She had no makeup on and was in her sweats, super pregnant with North. She was just like, 'Look, I need help, Robin [Antin] loves you and says great things about you; this is what I need. Can you do it?' And I was like, ‘OK, sure, I can do that — and if I can’t, I’ll figure it out!' Meanwhile in my head, I was so nervous.”
Initially, Shepherd was doing it all as Kardashian’s only assistant. "I was doing her whole schedule, doing her laundry, booking travel, putting the stroller together and all of these things. But I wasn’t nervous. I was just excited, always staying longer than I needed because I was trying to prove myself — and then North came early!” she recalled. "I was a brand new assistant who had no idea what to do with a baby, but we all moved into Kris' house, and she was the one who made it all feel OK and moved mountains for us.” Four years later, Kardashian has upgraded to a personal assistant, a house assistant and two nannies, Shepherd said.

Shepherd has been with the family through some of their biggest moments, including the KUWTK star’s May 2014 nuptials to Kanye West. “I didn’t even get to watch the ceremony because I was also filming — I often producer-cam the more personal moments for the show, when they don't want full-on cameras around — so I was filming everyone getting ready,” she said. "And then Caitlyn lost her suit, so I had to locate it; all the girls are getting ready, we're getting Kim together, we’re in this castle; Kanye is down rearranging the floral arrangements and all this stuff, all while I’m trying to film."
She was also in charge of getting Kardashian back to the U.S. after her October Paris heist. "It was terrifying. At the time, I had to hold it together and make sure everything was getting handled, and that we could get Kim home as quickly and safely as possible,” she said. "The night of the robbery, Kourtney and I were out, we were a little drunk, so when everything happened, we rushed home and sobered up real quick. We didn't sleep that entire night. I was so busy handling stuff."
As Kardashian’s right-hand woman, Shepherd added that she’s gotten close with the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan. West is “so funny” and “so unfiltered” and North is "the sweetest child, truly, she’s so smart and so charismatic,” Shepherd said. "Kendall and Kylie, we have some of the same friends, so we'll go out together and have that relationship. Khloe is just like everybody’s friend, you can talk to her about anything, she’s just a down ass girl, truly. And then Kourtney and I weren’t really close at all when I first started working — I don’t think she really liked me at first, to be honest! But I think when we were doing that world tour of Miami and Iceland and all those places, with so much travel time, we bonded.”
At the end of the day, though, she reminds people that she’s still an assistant. “With all of that glamour comes schlepping the bags and the suitcases and taking the fall when the car doesn't show up or the flight is delayed or something goes wrong,” she said.
