Lavish Taco Bell Wedding

Taco bells are ringing for this happy couple!
Dan Ryckert and Bianca Monda were the first people to get married at Taco Bell’s Las Vegas Cantina location on Sunday. The pair won an all-expense paid wedding after submitting a 30-second video for the Tex-Mex chain’s Love and Tacos contest, beating out a woman who crafted a wedding dress made entirely of burrito wrappers.

Their big day came complete with a sauce packet bouquet, champagne flutes filled with Twisted Freezes and a feast made up of quesadillas, Cheesy Gordita Crunches, burritos and guacamole. They said “I do” in the restaurant’s wedding chapel surrounded by friends and family.
When it came time for the cake, the couple cut into a two-tiered confection created by Cinnabon. The dessert featured two of the trendiest wedding cake designs right now: It had both a “naked” frosting look and a drip effect. It was then surrounded by Cinnabon Delights.
“I just got married at the Taco Bell Cantina in Las Vegas,” Ryckert said on Taco Bell’s Snapchat. “It was amazing. I am full but there’s more Cinnabon Delights cakes to eat so I gotta get busy with that.”
Ryckert and Monda were also treated to the restaurant’s $600 wedding package, which will become available to the public on August 7 for those feeling inspired to try out a fast food wedding. In addition to an officiated ceremony, the package comes with a Taco Bell garter, bow tie, the sauce packet wedding bouquet, “Just Married” t-shirts and a Taco 12 Pack.
Ryckert, who met Monda online in San Francisco a little over two years ago, says their mutual love of Taco Bell sparked an instant bond. “It was actually one of the first conversations we ever had,” he told PEOPLE after learning he’d won the contest in April. “She told me that she’d pick Taco Bell over a fancy Mexican place any day of the week, and I knew then that we were going to be a great fit.”

We've Seen Lots Of Crazy-Rich Weddings
Weddings, while magical, are a seemingly never-ending money pit — and I say that as someone who recently got married and is happier than she's ever been.
You have to budget for things you never thought you'd think about — if anyone needs recommendations for mercury glass votives, I think I've scoured the entire internet at this point — and you end up undoubtedly spending more than you allocated towards food, drinks, napkins, etc.
But what about people who have no need to be concerned about every last penny? You know, the people who can afford a dress valued at $1 million? Well, wonder no more, because Victoria Swarovski (yes, that Swarovski) just threw what has to be the most lavish wedding we've seen thus far.

The German singer's three-day-wedding extravaganza in Trieste, Italy, was truly something out of a fairytale, and included everything from a massive welcome party to an extraordinary crystal-encrusted gown (valued at $1 million), according to Brides.
On the first night, the bride and her groom, Werner Mürz, greeted guests with a red-and-white-themed gala at Falisia Resort & Spa, where attendees dined on pasta surrounded by shimmering candelabras and wine. Swarovski wore a high-low red gown designed by Michael Cinco in Dubai that looks like a blast to wear.
On Friday, the couple tied the knot in style at the Cathedral of San Giusto. Take a look at some of the photos from the big day below.
According to one of Cinco's Instagram posts, Swarovski's train was six meters long and boasted hundreds of thousands of crystals. Brides reported that the dress weighed approximately 100 pounds and was paired with a 26-foot long veil.

The British public is buzzing about Prince Harry’s deepening romance with American actress Meghan Markle, with the pair already fielding questions about marriage from the press. If they do decide to wed, the pair will likely face far lower scrutiny about Markle’s commoner status than they would have before 2011.
That’s the year when Prince William—who’s next in line after his father to become king of England—married Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge. Middleton’s great-grandfather came from a family of coal miners and her parents were airline workers who wound up making a fortune as founders of a party-supply business. But the tradition of British royals marrying persons lacking noble lineage goes back much further than that.

In 1464, Elizabeth Woodville, a commoner and widow, secretly wed King Edward IV. She was queen consort until her husband’s death in 1483. In 1660, another commoner, Anne Hyde, married the future King James II (then known as James, Duke of York) after becoming pregnant. Anne died in 1671, before James was crowned king in 1685.
Under the Royal Marriages Act of 1772, all descendants of King George II were required to get the monarch’s permission before tying the knot. The act came about because George III (the grandson of George II) was infuriated his younger brother, Prince Henry, had wed a commoner the king considered unsuitable, Anne Horton, the widow of another commoner.
In 1955, Princess Margaret ended her relationship with a man she hoped to marry, Captain Peter Townsend, because her older sister, Queen Elizabeth, wouldn’t sanction the union. The Wedding Plan

Last night, I saw The Wedding Plan, an Israeli film about a religious woman, Michal, whose fiancé breaks up with her shortly before their wedding. Michal decides to maintain the reservation of the wedding hall and attends her gown fittings, trusting that G-d will present her with a groom by her wedding day, just a couple of weeks away. The film follows her anguished and humorous journey to the chuppah (the matrimonial canopy).
I left the theatre feeling full; like my heart had eaten one of the tastiest meals it’s had in a while. Romantic love appeared to be Michal’s co-star in the first few scenes, but it really was more of a supporting role. It was about a bigger love; it was a love letter to the self, and what happens when we open our eyes, get out of our heads and our constructs of how we think things should be, and allow ourselves to become vulnerable enough to receive.

Love surrounds us at all times, asking to love us. There are even strangers, who we may ignore and dismiss, who see us clearly and want to give us what we are praying for.
To pray, we have to feel it first; it starts in here, sensing that the object of our prayer already exists and we’re merely inviting it in to our consciousness, to our reality. However, most of the time we can’t see it, because, our eyes are pinched shut and we’re blinded by desperation.
The answer to every prayer is in us; it is our devotion to our faith and belief in our own worthiness. Then, if we’re courageous enough, we open our eyes, look directly into the moment and greet the answer to our prayers.
